Like every other year, Bollywood had its own share of flop in 2011. Amongst the various flicks released, quite a few did not live up to the expected level of hype.
The film with its multisided star cast failed to make much headway. Featuring the likes of Abhishek Bachchan and Kangana Ranawat- the action packed thriller turned out to have a disastrous repercussion on the box office.
The film with its thematic inspiration from Ruskin Bond’s ‘Susanna’s Seven Husband’s’ also failed to effect the necessary impact. Despite being premiered at one of the international festivals of great renown, the creation of Vishal Bharadwaj bombed at the box office.
The comic sequel which sought to follow the preceding version of’ Bheja Fry’, not only had its own shares of negative critical reviews; but also fell below par at the box office.
4. Always Kabhi Kabhi
The romantic entertainer with its thrust on teenage weal and woes failed to garner much enthusiasm and interest. The plot and screen play with its hackneyed predictability did not live up to the expected level of appeal. Despite introducing a couple of fresh faces, the movie lacked in punch and poise
5. Kuch Love Jaisa
Featuring the versatile & talented Rahul Bose in addition to Sefali Shah- the script with its confusing mix of comical and seriousness attracted much flak and negativity. Marked by weak character portrayal and similarly loose screen play, it made for the wastage of acting talents.
6. Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl
Featuring the bubbly newcomers- Anushka Sharma in addition to Ranveer Singh, the film produced under the prestigious Yash Raj banner has been recently released. According to the latest whiff, the film is yet to be received with warmth at the box office horizon. Receiving positive as well as negative reviews, the film’s redeeming feature relates to the delineation of its lead pair
7. Mujhse Fraandship Karoge
Made by an associate of Yash Raj banner, the flick with its urbanized appeal evoked commendable critical response. But to all intents and purpose, it failed to produce the desired commercial response. The movie with its trendy elements of social networking also heralded the debut of Raghu Dixit- one of India’s leading folk rocker. Despite all its aspects of novelty including a fresh star cast, the movie was not well received at the destiny making zone of box-office.
