Yet, Rajamouli is feeling envy of one person, who has won accolades of the film critics and the audience with his creative ideas. And he is none other than Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, who has churned out the most thrilling film – Rajanna, starring Akkineni Nagarjuna.
“You may call it ego or confidence, but I always feel nobody should make a better film than me. And if any director makes any film with innovative concepts, I feel envy and curse myself as to why I did not get those ideas. As I watched the shooting of Rajanna under the direction of my father, I felt many times as to why I did not get those ideas while making my films in the past,” Rajamouli said in a television show with Nagarjuna on making of Rajanna.
Rajamouli recalled a shot in the film, when an old woman wants to take revenge on the feudal lord who is responsible for the death of his son crushing under the wheels of the horse-cart.
“It was an amazing shot, as the woman walks down the path and hits the soldier of the feudal lord with her stick. I just felt envy watching the shot,” he said.
