After Dookudu super success, Maheshbabu signed movie with Puri Jagannad.Puri promised to finishthe shoot of the movie and announced the release date as jan 12th.As the shooting progressed at a brisk pace than expected, date was preponed to Jan 11.However, now movie had to face back to back problems inspite of spot on movie schedules.
It is already known that movie is postponed to Jan13, without any mention of concrete reasons, leaving gap for various speculations.Now movie is facing tough time outside Andhra pradesh border.This film was supposed to release in Tamil and Malayalam on the same day. But due to festive period, there are as many local movies releasing over there.Therefore Businessman unit decided to release Tamil and Malayalam versions two weeks after the Telugu version is out.
Even Panjaa producers failed to organize simultaneous release in other languages and failed to encash market from other languages.By the time movie was supposed to release in tamil, verdict was out and producers could not find any takers for the movie in Kollywood. Now Businessman seems to be heading in same path
This delay will surely have some effect on the Business of the movie in other languages.Piracy will be a greater problem to tackle after few weeks.By the time movie is released in other languages, (uncontrollable)piracy can be rampant and reduce theater audience.If movie bags negative response in Andhra pradesh, it will surely repeat the costliest mistake committed by Panjaa producers
