Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu will be happy for the huge success of Dookudu at box office but at the same time he must be feeling sad for turning down the offer to act under the direction of Director Shankar in 3 Idiots remake because the shooting dates clashed with those of Dookudu. Not only this, he also missed the chance to act under Manirathnam's direction.
But as per the information from a source, ManiRathnam is still intrested to work with Mahesh Babu. The ace director has plans to make a periodic film with Mahesh Babu in the lead. When asked the same topic to Mahesh recently , he says 'Mani Ratnam still wants to do the film with me. But he said since there are lots of periodic films happening he would rather wait one or two years." This added the energy to the rumor that Mani would not be working with Mahesh anymore.
One or two years may not be too long a time. Meanwhile, Mahesh would have the opportunity to expand his horizon in the Southern market. Starting with The Businessman, the superstar stands good chances of becoming a familiar face in TN before he finally joins hands with Mani to make a true period blockbuster.
