Don’t compare ‘Dookudu’ and ‘Pokiri’: Kona Venkat

Writer Kona Venkat, who along with Gopimohan has penned the script for Mahesh Babu and Samantha’s forthcoming Dookudu, is all excited about the project. Ahead of its release, Venkat defines the film as an emotional entertainer, which is blended with heart-touching sentiment and rib-tickling comedy; the two elements running parallel, in fact. As the audiences tend to compare Dookudu with Mahesh-Puri Jagannath’s super-hit Pokiri, he requests them not to draw similarities between the two ventures since they both are apart in their respective ways. He tweeted: “If the posters or the promos of dookudu give any wrong impression pl ignore.. It is sreenu vaitla's film.. Totally his style of humor..” Regarding the compliments showering on Samantha, he said the female lead looked ravishing only because of Roopa Vaitla, who took ultimate care in the minutest of details with respect to Samantha’s outfits, makeup and hairstyles.
