Puri Jagannadh Challenging 'Bhagavad Gita'?

One of the most sacred and highly revered epics of any Hindu is the Bhagavad Gita. The aspects of Dharma, Karma etc are explained vividly and even rationalists would find it hard to negate any point in that. But it appears that one man may have challenged the doctrines of this holy work.

He is Puri Jagannadh. Apparently, Lord Krishna talks about ‘Dharmam’ in Bhagavad Gita but a dialogue in Puri’s new film ‘Businessman’. It goes - Yudhdham Chetakaani Vaade Dharmam Gurinchi Maatladuthaadu’. This has raised eyebrows of many Hindus.

They are objecting to this as it violates the law of Bhagavad Gita and say “If this dialogue is there then it should be removed. Moreover, Krishna didn’t fight, but spoke about dharma. This dialogue is like challenging the very essence of the Holy Scripture. If the trailer comes with this dialogue then we will not allow it to be released.” Let us see how this goes.
"If Russians tried to insult Bhagavadgeetha, that is the sign of their ignorance..but if we Indians put down our scriptures, who can help", woed a priest.
Well, Businessman unit members say that this dialogue is written as per the character and his characterization and we never thought to demean any holy scripture. We are shocked to listen to such interpretations. We have to see what Puri will answer.
